Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), 97-62 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Cannon upgrades its record to 3-6 on the year. The Cougars host Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-7. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy lost 71-63 in their recent non-league match against Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC)

The Cardinals now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Langtree Charter Academy for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores match on Tuesday, December 17. Corvian Community will face a Lions squad coming off a 65-59 league loss to Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC). The Lions record now stands at 5-2.
