The Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) basketball edged the host Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL), 67-61 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Knights now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Maryville Christian for a Gateway bout on Tuesday, December 17. Metro-East Lutheran will play a Lions team coming off a 65-30 league loss to Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Carlinville falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, IL) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, December 16.
