In Saturday's non-league test, the Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY) basketball squad trounced the visiting Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY), by a final score of 66-43.

Next, the Purple Tigers clash with the Cincinnatus Central Lions (Cincinnatus, NY) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 17. Cortland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.

The Comets (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Watertown (Watertown, NY). The Cyclones come into the Section 3 Frontier A test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Watertown bounced Indian River (Philadelphia, NY), 83-44, in a league test.
