The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers basketball team scored 88 points and limited the visiting Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds to 56 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Deer River for a non-league game on Monday, December 16. Cass Lake-Bena will confront a Warriors team coming off a 73-47 league win over Hill City (Hill City, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Mahnomen/Waubun falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN) to confront the Falcons in a A Section 8 game on Monday, January 6. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 4-1.
