Texas High School Basketball - Castleberry holds off San Elizario
December 14, 2024: Fort Worth, TX 76114 The Castleberry Lions basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting San Elizario Eagles to 37 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Decatur for a 4A Region I District 7 game on Tuesday, December 17. Castleberry will confront a Eagles team coming off a 65-54 non-league win over Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 13-2.
With the loss, San Elizario falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Andress (El Paso, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 8-6. Andress won 42-37 in their recent non-league game against Sam Houston (Arlington, TX)
