The Meridian Bobcats basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Cedar Shoals Jaguars to 69 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bobcats now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Murphysboro for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. Meridian will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 87-30 non-league win over Sparta (Sparta, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Cedar Shoals falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA) to confront the Warriors in a AAAA Region 8 game on Tuesday, December 17.
