Tennessee High School Basketball - Cosby holds off Cherokee
December 14, 2024: Cosby, TN 37722 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Cosby Eagles basketball team scored a close 58-54 triumph over the Cherokee Braves.
The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Pigeon Forge was tipped by Seymour (Seymour, TN), 60-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Braves confront the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a 1A Big Smoky contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Cherokee will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 56-43 league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC).
