The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) and the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), observed Clayton's basketball team edge New Hanover by a score of 65-59.

The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Garner (Garner, NC). The Titans come into the 4A Greater Neuse River challenge with a 2-4 record.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Jordan Falcons (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. New Hanover will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record.
