The Southwest Roughriders basketball squad (Bartley, NE), was outscored 57-42 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Decatur Community Red Devils (Oberlin, KS)

With the victory, Decatur Community advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Red Devils host Hill City (Hill City, KS) to meet the Ringnecks in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. The Ringnecks enter the battle with a record of 1-1. Hill City won 51-41 in their recent league battle against Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays, KS)

The Roughriders now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alma for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. Southwest will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 60-21 non-league win over Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-1.
