Virginia High School Basketball - Jenkins overwhelms Eastside
December 14, 2024: Coeburn, VA 24230 The Jenkins Cavaliers basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Eastside Spartans to 40 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cavaliers now have a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Thomas Walker for a non-league game on Monday, December 16. Jenkins will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 53-37 non-league loss to Washburn (Washburn, TN). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Eastside falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Lee (Jonesville, VA) to confront the Generals in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Generals go into the game with a record of 1-1. Lee won 83-79 in their recent league game against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA)
