Georgia High School Basketball - Screven County thwarts First Preparatory Christian Academy

December 14, 2024: Sylvania, GA 30467

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) and the visiting First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders (Hinesville, GA), observed Screven County's basketball team knock off First Preparatory Christian Academy by a score of 77-64.

The Gamecocks (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The Redskins come into the A D2 Region 3 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Bryan County prevailed over Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA), 73-48, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Highlanders encounter the Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 16. First Preparatory Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 69-25 non-league loss to Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA).
