The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) and the visiting Vista Ridge Rangers (Cedar Park, TX), observed Gregory-Portland's basketball team edge Vista Ridge by a score of 61-55.

The Wildcats (18-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ray (Corpus Christi, TX). The Texans come into the 5A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Ray edged Royal (Brookshire, TX), 50-48, in a non-league challenge.
