The Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) basketball were winner over the visiting Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE), 45-35 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Indians now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Laurel-Concord-Coleridge for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. Ponca will play a Bears team coming off a 56-42 non-league win over Tri County Northeast (Emerson, NE). The Bears record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Pierce falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bluejays host O'Neill (O'Neill, NE) to play the Eagles in a C1 District 8 bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-1. O'Neill won 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Catholic (Hartington, NE)
