In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the West Warriors.

The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Servite (Anaheim, CA). The Friars go into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Servite topped Western (Anaheim, CA), 68-39, in a non-league contest.
