December 14, 2024: Bovina, TX 79009 Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX), 53-29 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hermleigh advances its record to 17-2 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Westbrook (Westbrook, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Region II District 14 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 15-0. Westbrook won 47-19 in their recent non-league match against Sands (Ackerly, TX)
The Mustangs now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Jacinto Christian Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Bovina will face a Patriots squad coming off a 50-35 non-league win over West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 8-3.
