Kansas High School Basketball - Wellington thwarts Cheney
December 14, 2024: Cheney, KS 67025 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wellington Crusaders (Wellington, KS) and the host Cheney Cardinals (Cheney, KS), observed Wellington's basketball team knock off Cheney by a score of 45-30.
The Crusaders (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Collegiate (Wichita, KS). The Spartans come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail IV challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Collegiate dropped by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 42-32, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Trinity Academy Knights (Wichita, KS) in a Central Plains challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Cheney will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Spring Hill (Spring Hill, KS).
