Texas High School Basketball - Rusk can't hold off Diboll
December 14, 2024: Rusk, TX 75785 Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX), 49-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Diboll advances its record to 14-3 on the year. The Lumberjacks host Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX) to face the Timberwolves in a 3A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Timberwolves enter the match with a record of 3-8. Pineywoods Community Academy won 31-29 in their recent non-league bout against Prestonwood Christian North (Prosper, TX)
With the loss, Rusk falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Newton (Newton, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-4.
