Arkansas High School Basketball - Manila routed by West Side
December 14, 2024: Manila, AR 72442 West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Manila Lions (Manila, AR), 81-54 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Side advances its record to 19-2 on the year. The Eagles host Viola (Viola, AR) to face the Longhorns in a 1A Region 2 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Longhorns enter the match with a record of 6-7.
The Lions now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoxie for a 3A Region 3 match on Monday, December 16. Manila will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 56-27 league loss to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-8.
