The Pierce Bluejays basketball team scored 36 points and limited the host Ponca Indians to 27 in the Bluejays non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bluejays now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host O'Neill for a C1 District 8 game on Tuesday, December 17. Pierce will confront a Eagles team coming off a 52-38 league loss to Cedar Catholic (Hartington, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Ponca falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE) to confront the Bears in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Bears go into the game with a record of 2-2. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won 68-44 in their recent non-league game against Tri County Northeast (Emerson, NE)
