Maine High School Ice Hockey - Cheverus knocks off Windham
December 14, 2024: Portland, ME 04103 The Cheverus Stags ice hockey team scored 7 points and held the visiting Windham Eagles to 2 in the Stags non-league victory on Saturday.
The Stags now own a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cape Elizabeth for a Class B South bout on Thursday, December 19. Cheverus will play a Capers team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME). The Capers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Windham moves to 2-1 on the season. The Eagles host Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to play the Trojans in a Class A bout on Thursday, January 9. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-2.
