December 14, 2024: Youngsville, LA The Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) soccer nipped the visiting Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Sharks now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Iberia for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 17. Southside will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Hahnville (Boutte, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Dutchtown moves to 0-4 on the year. The Griffins host Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA) to encounter the Trojans in a Division I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, December 17. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 8-1. Central Lafourche won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA)
