New York High School Basketball - Grand Island nudges Wilson
December 15, 2021: Grand Island, NY 14072 Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wilson Lakemen (Wilson, NY), 67-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Grand Island upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lockport (Lockport, NY) to clash with the Lions in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier bout on Friday, December 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-1.
Next up, the Lakemen clash with the Royalton-Hartland Rams (Middleport, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Wilson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 62-55 non-league win over Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, NY).
