New Jersey High School Basketball - Brick Township nips Asbury Park
December 15, 2022: Asbury Park, NJ 07712 Brick Township Green Dragons (Brick, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Asbury Park Bishops (Asbury Park, NJ), 46-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Brick Township upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Green Dragons host Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ) to play the Lions in a Shore B - South bout on Monday, December 19. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Lacey Township won 57-34 in their recent league bout against Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ)
Next up, the Bishops play the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ) in a Shore B - Central bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Asbury Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Garnet Gulls come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 78-72 non-league loss to Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ).
