In Thursday's non-league match, the host Burney Raiders basketball team scored a good 35-27 triumph over the Big Valley Cardinals.

In their next game, the Raiders meet the Butte Valley Bulldogs (Dorris, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 16. Burney will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 4-0 record after their 66-44 league win over Big Valley (Bieber, CA).
