The Sand Creek Scorpions basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks to 47 in the Scorpions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Scorpions now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pueblo East for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Sand Creek will meet a Eagles team coming off a 73-6 non-league win over Mitchell (Colorado Springs, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.

The Red-Tailed Hawks (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Pine Creek ran past Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO), 56-49, in a non-league contest.
