Canterbury Cougars (Fort Myers, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canterbury upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Cougars host Cypress Lake (Fort Myers, FL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Cypress Lake won 53-25 in their recent non-league bout against North Fort Myers (North Fort Myers, FL)

Next up, the Bears play the South Fort Myers Wolfpack (Fort Myers, FL) in a 6A District 12 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Palmetto Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
