December 15, 2022: Riverton, IL 62561 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) and the host Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), saw Maroa-Forsyth's basketball squad hold off Riverton by a tally of 46-45.
With the victory, Maroa-Forsyth improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to LeRoy (LeRoy, IL) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. LeRoy lost 37-35 in their recent league challenge against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 17. Riverton will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 55-28 league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
