Ohio High School Basketball - Vinton County nips Zane Trace
December 15, 2022: McArthur, OH 45651 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) and the visiting Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH), saw Vinton County's basketball squad hold off Zane Trace by a tally of 44-41.
With the victory, Vinton County improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.
Next up, the Pioneers play the Unioto Shermans (Chillicothe, OH) in a Scioto Valley challenge, on Saturday, December 17. Zane Trace will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Shermans come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 78-52 league win over Adena (Frankfort, OH).
