Louisiana High School Basketball - Anahuac topped by Vinton
December 15, 2023: Vinton, LA 70668 The Vinton Lions basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Anahuac Panthers to 61 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host High Island for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Vinton will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 55-41 league win over Chester (Chester, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-5.
Next up, the Panthers play the Sam Rayburn Texans (Pasadena, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Anahuac will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Texans go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 39-31 non-league win over Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX).
