Tennessee High School Basketball - Austin-East holds off Oak Ridge
December 15, 2023: Oak Ridge, TN 37830 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN) and the host Oak Ridge Wildcats (Oak Ridge, TN), saw Austin-East's basketball squad hold off Oak Ridge by a tally of 83-77.
With the victory, Austin-East improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Roadrunners host Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN) to confront the Hustlin' Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Hustlin' Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Howard Tech won 66-60 in their recent league challenge against East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Oak Ridge will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 77-62 non-league win over Alcoa (Alcoa, TN).
