California High School Basketball - Whittier holds off Bell Gardens
December 15, 2023: Bell Gardens, CA 90201 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA) and the host Bell Gardens Lancers (Bell Gardens, CA), saw Whittier's basketball squad hold off Bell Gardens by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, Whittier improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Santiago (Garden Grove, CA) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Santiago won 52-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Charter Oak Chargers (Covina, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Bell Gardens will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 59-57 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, CA).
