In Friday's non-league outing, the Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV), by a margin of 70-35.

The Pioneers (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals go into the non-league outing with a 5-2 record.

The Desert Shields now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 26. Cheyenne will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 67-54 non-league win over Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
