In Friday's non-league outing, the Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) basketball squad beat the host Gary Bobcats (Gary, TX), by a margin of 45-33.

The Lions (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Hawkins (Hawkins, TX). The Hawks go into the 2A Region III District 21 outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, Hawkins defeated West Rusk (New London, TX), 58-33, in a non-league outing.
