New Hampshire High School Basketball - Gilford overwhelms Newfound Regional
December 15, 2023: Gilford, NH 03249 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) and the visiting Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH), saw Gilford's basketball squad wallop Newfound Regional by a tally of 78-48.
With the victory, Gilford improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Inter-Lakes (Meredith, NH) to confront the Lakers in a Division III challenge on Monday, December 18. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Inter-Lakes lost 52-28 in their recent league challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH)
Next up, the Bears confront the Prospect Mountain Timberwolves (Alton, NH) in a Division III challenge, on Monday, December 18. Newfound Regional will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 43-31 league win over Berlin (Berlin, NH).
