The Grove City Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers to 42 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Allegheny for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16.

The Lakers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern (Albion, PA). The Wildcats enter the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Northwestern was outscored by Greenville (Greenville, PA), 61-52, in a non-league contest.
