December 15, 2023: Holden, LA 70744 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Holden Rockets (Holden, LA) and the visiting Simpson Broncos (Simpson, LA), saw Holden's basketball squad hold off Simpson by a tally of 50-48.
With the victory, Holden improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a B District 7 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Mt. Hermon lost 60-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Varnado (Angie, LA)
Next up, the Broncos confront the Singer Hornets (Singer, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Simpson will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 41-38 non-league win over DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA).
