Arkansas High School Basketball - Salem holds off Maynard
December 15, 2023: Maynard, AR 72444 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Salem Greyhounds (Salem, AR) and the host Maynard Tigers (Maynard, AR), saw Salem's basketball squad hold off Maynard by a tally of 58-54.
With the victory, Salem improves its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Yellville-Summit (Yellville, AR) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Yellville-Summit won 60-31 in their recent league challenge against Eureka Springs (Eureka Springs, AR)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR) in a 1A Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Maynard will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record.
