In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Morton Indians basketball team scored a tight 48-47 triumph over the Muleshoe Mules.

In their next game, the Indians face the Whitharral Panthers (Whitharral, TX) in a 1A Region I District 7 match, on Tuesday, December 19. Morton will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 7-2 record after their 97-89 non-league win over New Deal (New Deal, TX).

The Mules (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Denver City (Denver City, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 10-4 record.
