Illinois High School Basketball - Murphysboro nips Wayne
December 15, 2023: Murphysboro, IL 62966 Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wayne Eagles (Ontario Center, NY), 60-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Murphysboro upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to North Allegheny (Wexford, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-4.
Next up, the Eagles play the Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
