The Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) basketball knocked off the visiting Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT), 74-62 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Kaynor Tech (Waterbury, CT). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
