December 15, 2023: Ashland, KY 41102 The Lewis County Lions basketball team (Vanceburg, KY), was overwhelmed 68-18 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY)
The Tomcats now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Knox Central for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 16. Blazer will confront a Panthers team coming off a 72-45 non-league loss to South Laurel (London, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.
The Lions (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Montgomery County trounced Bourbon County (Paris, KY), 69-28, in a league battle.
