California High School Basketball - Mayfield nips El Camino
December 15, 2023: Oceanside, CA 92057 Mayfield Cubs (Pasadena, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host El Camino Wildcats (Oceanside, CA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Mayfield upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Kearny (San Diego, CA) to play the Komets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Komets come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Kearny won 47-20 in their recent non-league bout against Rock Academy (San Diego, CA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. El Camino will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 53-36 non-league loss to Vista (Vista, CA).
