Louisiana High School Basketball - Fisher overwhelmed by GEO Next Generation
December 15, 2023: Lafitte, LA 70067 The Fisher Gators basketball team (Lafitte, LA), was overwhelmed 64-18 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting GEO Next Generation Tigers (Baton Rouge, LA)
The Tigers now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy of the Sacred Heart for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 19. GEO Next Generation will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 44-26 non-league loss to Newman (New Orleans, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-4.
The Gators (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Maurepas (Maurepas, LA). The Wolves come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record.
First Quarter
Kimberly Jack (Freshman) helped the Tigers get off to a great stat by hitting 8 of the team 1st quarter points.
Second Quarter
Quinniece Darby (Senior) carried the load hitting 9 points in the 2nd quarter.
Third Quarter
Quinniece Darby (Senior) dominated the 3rd quarter by knocking down 8 points and Ta’Coya Batiste (Sophomore) hit two key 3 pointers while the defense continued to apply pressure.
Fourth Quarter
GEO defense continued to stop their opponents and held them to just 3 forth quarter points.
