Connecticut High School Basketball - Stamford holds off New Milford
December 15, 2023: Stamford, CT 06902 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Stamford Black Knights (Stamford, CT) and the visiting New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), saw Stamford's basketball squad hold off New Milford by a tally of 41-40.
With the victory, Stamford improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Black Knights travel to Immaculate (Danbury, CT) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Immaculate lost 64-36 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT)
Next up, the Green Wave confront the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. New Milford will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 62-54 non-league win over Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT).
