North Carolina High School Basketball - Overhills topped by Northwood

The Northwood Chargers basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Overhills Jaguars to 36 in the Chargers non-league victory on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashe County for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Northwood will battle a Huskies team coming off a 72-44 non-league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 4-4.

The Jaguars (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Eagles come into the 3A/4A All-American contest with a 3-5 record.
