Paul VI Eagles (Haddonfield, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), 58-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Paul VI upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Sunday, December 17. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-1. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea won 100-88 in their recent league bout against Nazareth (Brooklyn, NY)
