December 15, 2023: Hertford, NC 27944 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) and the visiting Ocracoke Dolphins (Ocracoke, NC), saw Perquimans's basketball squad wallop Ocracoke by a tally of 70-40.
With the victory, Perquimans improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Camden County (Camden, NC) to confront the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Camden County lost 50-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)
Next up, the Dolphins confront the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Ocracoke will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 55-34 non-league loss to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC).
