Illinois High School Basketball - Loyola Academy overwhelms Taft
December 15, 2024: Wilmette, IL 60091 The Loyola Academy Ramblers basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Taft Eagles to 47 in the Ramblers non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Ramblers now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Niles Notre Dame for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Loyola Academy will confront a Dons team coming off a 68-54 non-league loss to Ridgewood (Norridge, IL). The Dons record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Taft falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Curie (Chicago, IL) to confront the Condors in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Condors go into the game with a record of 5-1. Curie won 56-50 in their recent non-league game against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL)
