Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Minersville toppled by Mount Carmel
December 15, 2025: Mount Carmel, PA 17851 Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA), 38-19 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mount Carmel upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The RED TORNADOES travel to Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA) to face the Tigers in a Heartland III match on Thursday, December 18. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 2-4. Southern Columbia Area lost 42-38 in their recent non-league match against Line Mountain (Herndon, PA)
The Battlin' Miners now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Schuylkill Haven for a Schuylkill County 1 match on Tuesday, December 16. Minersville will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 45-39 league win over Pottsville (Pottsville, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 3-1.
