Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), 57-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mount Tahoma (Tacoma, WA) to clash with the T-Birds in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 18. The T-Birds go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Borderites clash with the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 20. Blaine will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 59-38 non-league win over Eastlake (Sammamish, WA).
